On a pleasant morning in Chattanooga, Tennessee, triathletes from around the world woke up to perfect racing conditions to take on the Ironman 70.3 World Championships. In the pro women’s division, Felt athlete Daniela Ryf continued her run as the most dominant competitor in the sport with a monumental win at the iconic event. On a fast racecourse, Ryf took command of the race on the bike leg aboard her Felt IA race bike, putting in the fastest split of the day by over five minutes ahead of the second-fastest competitor. Ryf rode away from the field and continued her assault during the run portion, eventually finishing in a total time of 4:11:59, over six minutes ahead of the second place competitor. This is Ryf’s third Ironman 70.3 world championship in four years. Now she will set her sights on capturing her third consecutive full-distance Kona World Championship in October.
