The Austrian cycling federation and PIERER Mobility Group have renewed their existing supplier and sponsorship agreement. FELT appears as a sponsor on the jersey and shorts of the Austrian national team, since this year´s Tour of the Alps. The new jerseys were unveiled for the first time on Sunday evening at the team presentation for the Tour of the Alps, where the home team is participating for the first time.
"With this partnership, the sporting activities of Cycling Austria are significantly strengthened and the connection between an Austrian top industrial company and the domestic association is highlighted. We are pleased that we were able to renew the agreement concluded in 2021", explained Cycling Austria President Harald J. Mayer.
The focus and collaboration will be further deepened and intensified, particularly in the road and track cycling sectors. It will also be prominently carried into the international cycling world under the slogan "FELT IS FAST".
"We are pleased that the youngest brand of the PIERER Mobility Group represents a new chapter in our collaboration as a sponsor and supplier, but also highlights our importance as an attractive partner in the industry" added Mayer.
“Being able to support the Austrian Cycling Federation is first of all a great honor, rather than an advertising operation. FELT is part of the PIERER Group and Austria is our home now. This is why we want to help the Federation grow and provide the best infrastructure to all Austrian athletes, of all cycling disciplines. Nevertheless, racing with Cycling Austria is only one side of the coin, since developing new mobility projects as well as road safety education campaigns is just as important”, says Federico Macario, Head of FELT Global Marketing.
The Austrian national team showed a strong performance in its first participation in the Tour of the Alps. With their offensive riding style, they presented themselves and their new sponsor FELT well. Moran Vermeulen was one of the outstanding athletes of the Austrian national team and collected the most kilometers in the breakaway as well as five intermediate sprint victories. These successes ensured that Vermeulen wore the Red Sprinter's Jersey from the beginning of the second stage until the very end of the race on behalf of the overall winner Tao Geoghegan Hart.
