What's better than a gorgeous and high-performance road bike? Well, that would be a bike that is especially made to complement its rider's personality and preferred pedaling experience. We love seeing custom versions of our bikes, including those from our very own team. Two European-based team members, Albert and Hugo, have long wanted to build up their dream FR road bikes. So they got themselves some frame kits, worked with a local artist to create some fantastic custom paint schemes, and then picked out their favorites parts. Check out the gallery below to see Hugo's awesome rig. And don't miss Albert's FR—just click here.
Hugo wanted to do something classy and a little less daring than Albert's wild "chameleon" paint scheme. But he still wanted some sort of subtle, bright purple finish to add an extra custom touch. The result looks incredible, if we do say so ourselves. For the build, Hugo opted for a selection of high-end components, including a set of Mavic Cosmic wheels, a SRAM Red eTap groupset, Rotor crankset with a power meter, and a 3T seatpost, stem, and handlebar.
Pro triathlete Braden Currie has joined Felt Bicycles for the 2021 racing season and beyond. And, for the very first time in his professional career, he was able to create a custom paint scheme for his race bike by working with our design team. Don't miss this full breakdown of Braden's unique build and his philosophy on bike fit.
We're thrilled to announce that the FR FRD road bike was named to Esquire Magazine's "Coolest New Gadgets of 2020" list! They described riding the venerable lightweight race bike as, "You feel like man and machine have bonded to become one." Read more to see what else they had to say.
