BREED: PIONEERING GRAVEL RACING
U.S SOIL. U.S STYLE.
Before the current generation of gravel race bikes, the previous FELT BREED was already pushing the limits of what competitive gravel racing could be on American soil.
Designed around the demands of US gravel racing, BREED combined speed, durability, and efficiency with a race‑focused geometry able to perform at the highest level across fast courses, rough terrain, and long distances.
CATEGORY AVANT-Garde
The previous BREED introduced solutions that were considered unconventional at the time and later became category standards.
• Pioneering tire clearance, enabling higher speeds, better control, and confidence on rough and variable surfaces
• Four bottle cages integrated into the frame, allowing full race autonomy for long and demanding events
• Race‑adapted geometry, tuned for efficiency at high speed while remaining stable when fatigue sets in
• Frame shaping fully planned with aerodynamic efficiency in mind, inspired by road racing development
PROVEN IN RACING
The platform was validated at the front of the most demanding gravel races by elite athletes including Chad Haga, Adam Roberge, Dylan Johnson, Jonas Orset, Sebastian Schönberger, Danni Shrosbree, and Niki Terpstra.
• 2024 UNBOUND Gravel with three BREED riders finishing inside the top10 with Chad Haga claiming 2nd place in the final sprint with Lachlan Morton
• Victories and podiums among all major US gravel events such us: Gravel Locos, Belgian Waffle Ride, Mid South Gravel, etc...
• The BREED has also traveled across all continents, racing in the most demanding events in South America, Europe and Africa.
This legacy is the foundation on which the new BREED is built.
BREED
GRAVEL AS YOU'VE NEVER FELT
BREED represents FELT’s vision of gravel without compromise. A true race platform engineered not just for winning at the front, but for every rider who lines up to race hard and push limits when the course stops playing nice

carbon layup optimization
Advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was applied throughout development to precisely identify high‑stress and low‑stress zones across the frame. This allowed reinforcement only where structural loads demand it, while reducing carbon material in areas that do not require additional strength.
The result is maximum efficiency with minimal excess weight.
BREED is offered with two carbon layup options developed through the same engineering process, allowing riders to choose between maximum weight efficiency or increased robustness depending on race demands, rider preference, and build specification.
22.8% weight saving
vs. previous generation
Frame mass is reduced by aligning carbon layup with measured load paths and increasing structural efficiency through tube geometry. Material is applied only where stress levels require it and removed everywhere else.
Together with the fully redesigned fork and integrated carbon cockpit, this approach delivers a 22.8 percent reduction in total system weight compared to the previous generation.
The result is a significantly lighter structure that maintains stiffness, dimensional accuracy, and durability under repeated high‑load gravel racing conditions, translating into faster acceleration, improved efficiency, and confident control over long, demanding efforts.

KEY AERODYNAMIC UPGRADES
Refined tube profiles
Tube shapes have been optimized to improve airflow streamlining, with cleaner transitions and straighter tube sections that reduce turbulence across critical areas of the frame.
Reduced front‑end volume
The fully integrated cockpit features an exceptionally slim profile, significantly lowering frontal area and creating a clean leading edge where most aerodynamic drag originates.
Lower frame stack
A revised frame architecture defines a geometry tailored to gravel racing demands, while evolving toward road‑influenced priorities like aerodynamics, efficiency, and marginal gains.
Lower seat stay design
Shorter, lower‑positioned seat stays reduce frontal area and improve airflow management around the rear of the bike.
PURE GRAVEL RACING GEOMETRY
BREED was developed as a complete gravel racing bike.
By maintaining consistent reach and stack values across both platforms, Aero-road and gravel, BREED delivers a race-optimized rider position that supports efficient power transfer and stable, aerodynamic posture. This continuity also simplifies sizing, allowing riders familiar with FELT’s road race geometry to transition to gravel with confidence.
A slacker head tube angle improves control on loose and technical surfaces, while an increased wheelbase enhances stability at speed without compromising responsiveness. The result is predictable handling under load, especially when descending, cornering or riding aggressively over broken terrain.
BREED is offered in 6 frame sizes, each engineered individually to maintain consistent handling, proportions and rider balance across the size range.
